Recently our company needed two special gifts for the owner and managing director of an important company in Pakistan. These would be small gifts to the two senior officers and decision makers to express appreciation for doing business with us. We know that small gifts are normal and quite important when working with Pakistani companies. As the gifts were to be transported to and presented in Pakistan, the physical size of the gift was critical. The gifts were presented ceremonially in front of the most of the company staff attending an industry convention. Recognitions helped guide us in our choice of items. We choose very elegant rosewood boxed pen sets with our company logo engraved in gold on the lid of the boxes. At the presentation there was obvious delight in the receipt of the gifts. Later when visiting the Pakistani company office I noticed that the gift pen sets had been prominently placed on both executive’s desks. It was clear that they were pleased with our thoughtfully well chosen gifts. The simple presentation of these two small gifts has further cemented our business relationship for the future.
